Tried a few new things with water colors… Instead of blending the colors myself, I just put some water on the paper, dabbed some color straight from the palette, and BAM. It blended for me. I’m so lazy /rolls

Bah I have about 3 art assignments to do. I swear I never procrastinated until AP Studio came into my life. /cries But I’m still planning on ditching them to see the Hunger Games tonight

Ahhh I’m so tired. I actually drew this yesterday. Spent all day at a nerd-filled robotics competition :D it’s even more fun than it sounds, believe it or not.
Just realized today is the unfortunate Raniero’s birthday :D Yes, this is him as a pokemon trainer I’ve come to realize he has a thing for cats. What a cliche /hides in corner.

Just wondering if anyone has taken AP Physics yet? I need to know what I signed up for, because I feel like I just gave my soul to the devil. Didn’t even sell it, just kind of handed it over and accepted eternal punishment.
I figured eventually I should incorporate color theory and stuff into my silly digital stuff. So this is the result.
I was going to have Maeko in her school’s track uniform, but… I can’t remember how to draw people right now. /shrug

Ahhhhh let’s see… I’m not sure if it works the same way at your high school, buuuuut at mine the class is “Independent Study.” We meet once a week at lunch to get our assignments, etc. but other than that we have to do everything on our own.
What this means is that aside from a grade and an occasional critique, the teacher doesn’t exactly teach you anything. As there is no class time to work on your projects, you don’t get so much of the “artistic atmosphere” that can really help your creative process, or get an opportunity for the teacher to teach you how to use the materials. You learn everything from the text book (mostly theory and such.)
If you aren’t certain of your skills, I would suggest sticking with something where you have actual class time (I, for one, learn a lot better that way, and my stress level would be mitigated) However, having my art graded and critiqued at a college level is super helpful, too. If you want to go on to an art school (which it sounds like you might), it’s also really great for putting together a portfolio and will most likely exempt you from having to take basic Art 101.
Though, if your schedule is busy and you can’t fit in an actual class period for art, I would suggest taking an IS Art course over no art. The assignments keep you thinking creatively and prevent you from falling into a stagnant pool of monotonous same-style lack of originality.

On another note, I think I-Pin is the cutest most beautiful girl in KHR and I want to trade my sister for her. No regrets.
